The earth started heating up more than 200 years ago! We will burn.

 It is almost universally accepted that our emissions are heating up the earth and that we have to stop emissions. That has brought electric cars and huge windmills to us. But what is being ignored is that the earth started heating up more than two centuries ago and will most likely continue to do so, whether we stop emissions or not. There are, in Switserland, photographs for all to see of glaciers that have been shrinking ugely since before 1850! That is undeniable proof that earth's heating is quite independent of our emissions, which only started seriously around 100 years ago. And it means we are barking up the wrong tree.

What we really need is to prepare ourselves for the inevitable heating up of our earth that will continue whatever we do on emissions, will most likely get much worse, and will put the very existence of mankind in jeopardy. 
We are being short sighted. Our planet is in for a continuing increase of heat which means we are going to burn! We should not make electric cars and huge windmills etc., but use our ingenuity and our money to prepare for how to stay alive under burning heat that will cover almost all of the planet. In this view, the hundreds of thousands of acres of woodland now burning in the South of Europe are just the beginning and inferno ia coming.
