Attenborough and the future king of England

I feel it is essential you look at this video where, in Davos, Prince William interviews David Attenborough.

The core message by Attenborough here is WE HAVE THE TECHNICAL MEANS TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY ENERGY FROM THE SUN AND TO STOP USING FOSSILE FUELS ENTIRELY. NOW WE HAVE TO DO IT.
- The first remarkable thing is the too polite and too bland reaction by the Duke of Cambridge.
- The second is the realisation that such important news again comes from the Brits, in this case Attenborough, not from the US, not the French, not the Germans, and that when looking at the English, this makes a sharp contrast to the British idiocy in their handling of Brexit. Apparently, there still is this unique character to the Brits as well. It is one of the many reasons why they should stay in the EU.
- What comes out in third place, above the blandness in William’s reaction, is the total absence of a realistic answer like “Assuming it is true we have the technical means, we still lack political leaders of sufficient greatness to both take the decision on this major issue and explain it to their constituents, to the electorates, and to Parliaments, Congress, Bundestag etc... We lack these leaders and therefore, as things stand, this will not succeed. So what do we do about that, Mr. Attenborough?”
