Wake up, NYT!

The silly wishful thinking at the NYT
quote
Recently, New York Times reported that China was amid "a steep downturn."
Indeed, since the US trade wars last spring, there has been much chatter in the West about the "China's economic slowdown".
Yet China's growth forecast for 2018 remains 6.5-6.6 percent, after a strong first half.
For 2019, Chinese GDP growth could eventually achieve around 6.2 percent in full-year growth, assuming policymakers succeed in the challenging balancing act to sustain higher-quality growth while suppressing faster debt accumulation.
In international comparison, Chinese growth rate is currently positioned to decelerate from 9.6 percent to 5.6 percent between 2008 and 2023.
Overall, such deceleration is normal after years of rapid industrialisation and growth acceleration.
Despite this deceleration, living standards will almost double.

Indeed, China is NOT slowing down, it is still growing like hell.
Shame on you, NYT for erroneously reporting on one of the !
I also recommend reading https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/11/18/world/asia/china-rules.html, where my decade long denial against all other predictions of impending failure of China's regime and economy is well illustrated. Of course my denials are not mentioned.
