Mugabe, the most racist ever

At his death, Robert Mugabe was hailed, almost as a hero, as the man who had fought for black identity in Africa. The truth is different. For once, colonialism, so often derided, had left him a superb heritage: Zimbabwe, called Rhodesia before, was the most prosperous country of the continent, often dubbed the granary of Africa thanks to its huge food exports. Mugabe kicked out practically all the white farmers, not paying them for their prosperous farm and land. He replaced them by incompetent blacks, his friends. Agriculture collapsed and now, after 37 years, the country is in deep debt, one third of the population is in famine, while Mugabe himself and his clique drove around in high end Mercedes cars and lived in extreme opulence. He did the most incredible harm to his white as well as to his black citizens. No hero, this man: a criminal racist, egocentric destroyer.
