Six more countries join Iran barter group

The Guardian: Six more countries join Trump-busting Iran barter group.
Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden sign up to the Instex mechanism that sidesteps US sanctions.
This is in fact the Benelux and Scandinavia joining, making for a solid geographical Northern European group together with the UK, Germany and France. It looks like a precursor to the core group of a Europe of two speeds that I so much hope Ursula will start soon.
At last, these six give a sign of
Europe showing its muscle!
And this means more than just the muscle. It is also a European compliment to Obama, who initiated the accord that the nine now support against President Trump's erroneous policies.
But beware, no business has yet been concluded under this barter set up, so this begs the question: will it really work? And if it does, will Iran be able to turn to the EU in a tentative friendship mode? It could be the beginning of a relation of good neighbourship with us that Iran deserves since such a very long time, actually since Mossadegh.
