Edouard Prisse
Born 23/12/1938 in Ukkel, Brussels, Belgium.
Five adult children.
Single.
Author of books ’Is China Taking Over? Helping understand the hasards of free trade.’, on  Amazon, and in Dutch ‘China kan nog gestopt worden’, Servo publisher.
Many articles in Dutch on the subject, mostly in EW magazine.

-  Middle School, Gymnasium b, famous Barlaeus, Amsterdam
-  University Utrecht, 1957o  
          o  MA Law (LLM)
    o   Maths & Physics, no diploma. But instead:
    o    profound study of J.M.Keynes’ theory.
-  postgraduate: Mba at Insead, Fontainebleau, France, 1968
-  Most outstanding feature: An unique understanding of macro-economics

Military and nationality
-  Reserve Lieutenant Infantry Belgian Army, stationed in Germany, 1967
-  nationalised to Dutch (Netherlands) citizen in 2003

 Work
1969 – 1978     UCB, Union Chimique Belge. Diverse line and staffunctions in pharma and  chemical divisions,
CEO of Dutch daughter company followed by  assistant to CEO/major shareholder of the group. A lightining early career. Resigned in disgust.
1979 – 1983     CEO of Upsamedica SA in Brussels (pharma).
1984              Founded my own company in 1984.
                      Starting 1990, had a little daughter company in Beijing, China.
                      Sold all-in 2016. Still owner of Ltd company d’Avennes BV in the                                        Netherlands, no activity.
1999                Consulting and author about China’s economy.                                 

Hobby
Since 1987, organised about 30 classical music houseconcerts at home, with mostly young pianists, selected for musicality.
Recent concert:  September 28, 2024 with child prodigy Liam Nassereddine on the Bechstein; March 23, 2025 with pianist Willem Brons. Soon: May 10, 2025,Trio van Gogh.
