CLIMATE CHANGE: Are we barking up the wrong tree?

It is almost universally accepted that our emissions are heating up the earth and that we have to stop these. And so, we are making electric cars, we are building huge windmills etc.. But we ignore that the earth started heating up more than two centuries ago and will most likely continue to do so, quite independently of our emissions. There are, for example in Switzerland, old photographs for all to see, of glaciers that have been shrinking since before 1850! The earth was already heating up quite independently of emissions, that we only started spewing out around a 100 years ago. This may mean we are looking in the wrong direction.

Maybe we should also prepare ourselves for the heating of our earth to get much worse, whatever we do on emissions. That would even put the very existence of mankind in jeopardy and would mean we are being short sighted. If our planet were in for a continuing increase of heat, we may eventually all burn! If so, we should not just make electric cars and build huge windmills but we should use at least half of our ingenuity and our money to prepare for staying alive under burning heat that may gradually cover almost all of the planet. If this were going to happen, then the hundredthousands acres of woodland now increasingly burning every year in the South of Europe are just the beginning of the coming inferno. Right now this possible climate future is being almost totally ignored.
